Rum and Brew

The weekend kicks off with a Rum & Brew Tasting on Friday night, July 28, 2017,  6pm for VIP and 7pm for general admission. Robert H. Gibson River Garden, 157 Main Street in downtown Brattleboro, will provide the backdrop for this spicy event. The Rum & Brew Tasting offers tastings of local food and drinks with a Caribbean theme. The event will feature local craft beer, cider, and mead as well as local and international spirits. Local musicians will play live music as the crowd prepares for a spicy weekend. Advance tickets are $50 per person and weekend festival packages will be offered.

Vendors at the JerkFest Food Festival

There will be lots of delicious spicy food on sale from our Vermont JerkFest vendors, at the JerkFest Food Festival, hosted in Brattleboro. All restaurant and food truck vendors will offer at least one jerk item on the menu for sale–after all, we are a jerk fest! Vendor package available soon.

Our Spice Lane will feature specialty food vendors, selling a variety of local hot sauces, spicy nuts, spicy jams, spicy sweets, and more. We promise that it will be a hot experience for you!

Chef Demos

The Vermont JerkFest will showcase Chef Demos, and Jerk Cook-Off. The Jerk Cook-Off will feature two chefs competing to create the best jerk dish while giving you the chance to see a variety of ways to cook jerk food.


There will be local and international reggae musicians who will jam with the crowds to the cool backdrop of the VT mountains.  The headliner acts for 2015 was THIRD WORLD BAND. This year, we have Everton Blender and Teflon as the featured international performers.

Vermont JerkFest is a family-friendly festival filled with entertainment for children and adults of all ages! There will be a Children’s activity zone with hands-on, interactive activities including fun games, and more.
